At Folklore Farm, our Boarding Program is designed for owners who value small-scale, hands-on care delivered with precision, intention, and a deep respect for the horse’s physical and emotional wellbeing. With limited availability, every horse receives individualized attention, consistent handling from experienced professionals, and the calm, drama-free environment that allows horses to truly settle, thrive, and feel safe.

What We Offer With Select Boarding

Boarding Options

• 12x12 stalls
• 12x12 stalls with 20 ft private runs
• Choice of private, semi-private, or small-group turnout
• Dry lot turnout for metabolic or grass-sensitive horses
• Grass pasture turnout for horses who benefit from grazing

Feed & Forage

• 24/7 access to high-quality grass hay (slow-feeders available)
• Grain fed 2–3 times daily according to each horse’s nutritional needs
• Owner-approved supplements fed daily
• Fresh, clean water available at all times

Daily Care & Handling

• Stalls cleaned twice daily
• Water buckets cleaned and refreshed daily
• All horses handled by experienced adult professionals only
• Consistent, low-stress handling practices barn-wide
• Blanketing and fly mask/fly sheet services (per season)
• Fly spray application (owner-provided)
• Daily wellness check in turnout and stall

Facilities & Training Access

• Covered arena with all-weather footing
• 80 ft round pen for groundwork, lunging, and rehab work
• Grass jump field with a full set of jumps
• Full-size grass dressage arena
• On-property trail access leading to miles of quiet riding
• Wash stall with hot/cold water

Safety, Monitoring & Security

• Camera access to your horse (stall and/or run–where applicable)
• Owner lives on property for added oversight
• Strict safety-first barn culture
• Zero drama, zero tolerance for unsafe handling
• Secure gate and property monitoring

Professional Support & Education

• Access to lessons (dressage, jumping, driving, liberty, groundwork, biomechanics-focused training)
• Access to a busy clinic schedule with respected trainers and clinicians
• Optional training and conditioning programs (additional fee)
• Optional rehab/fitness services tailored to the horse’s needs
